Inventory Control Associate
What You'll Do You will oversee and coordinate product movement and customer service operations ensuring compliance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
You will manage facility budgets, monitor operational procedures, and maintain quality control standards while supervising and developing team members.
Regular inspections and reporting will be conducted to ensure safety, security, and adherence to company and regulatory requirements.
Essential Functions • Oversee product handling and customer service operations ensuring procedures and key performance indicators are met.
• Develop annual facility budgets and monitor progress towards departmental goals.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with food safety and occupational safety laws and guidelines.
• Manage staff including recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, appraising performance, and resolving issues.
• Maintain operational procedures for shipment verification, inventory control, and quality standards for perishables.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and all Federal, State, and Local OSHA regulations including safety training and reporting injuries.
• Coordinate activities between warehouse, distribution, sales record control, and purchasing departments to ensure merchandise availability and security.
• Other essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary.
What Experience and Education You Need • 5 years of supervisory experience required • High School Diploma or GED required, Associate's Degree preferred • Proficient in Microsoft Office • Proficient with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
What Could Set You Apart • Cold Storage or Food Industry experience a plus • Union experience a plus
Physical Requirements • Requires several hours per day of sitting, getting up and down from chairs, reaching, and/or bending.
• Requires manual dexterity with normal hand and finger movements for typical office work including the operation of computers, telephones, and similar equipment.
• Requires ability to comprehend and communicate with others verbally and/or in writing.
• May require travel by automobile and airplane for business.
• May require visits to warehouse operations in temperatures at or below freezing.
• May require the occasional lifting, carrying, positioning, and/or moving of objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
