What You'll Do at the Y As the School Age Care Director, you'll direct the development and day-to-day operations of licensed Before & After School programs during the school year and Day Camps throughout the summer at assigned locations, ensuring they meet the needs of our diverse community and provide a safe, positive, inclusive, and engaging environment for children.

You'll be part of the Branch Leadership Team, working alongside other YMCA leaders to strengthen the overall branch, support staff and volunteers, build community relationships, and advance the Y's mission.

School Age Child Care Director Responsibilities: Lead High-Quality Programs Manage, direct, and coordinate School Age Care programs for assigned location(s).

The Stanwood-Camano YMCA currently serves all elementary schools within its service area through four licensed school-based Before & After School Care sites.

Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate, and culturally responsive programs and activities.

Monitor participation, program effectiveness, and quality, including participation in the Youth Program Quality Initiative (YPQI), to drive continuous improvement.

Ensure YMCA standards, safety procedures, DCYF licensing requirements, and applicable ADA requirements are met.

Maintain program facilities, equipment, records, and required documentation.

Organize family events and opportunities that strengthen connection and engagement.
