Applications accepted through: Wednesday 09/23/2026 at 11:59 PM Mountain Time Interviews to be conducted on: Wednesday 09/30/2026 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Mountain Time Hiring Range: $33.36 - $41.15 hourly Salary Range: $33.36 - $45.04 hourly Summary The Community Services Officer is responsible for enforcing the Town of Firestone Municipal Code, conducting inspections, confirming compliance with Town code regulation and ordinance, and responding to animal control issues.
The incumbent serves as a liaison to neighborhood groups and citizens, coordinating community police programs, participating in special events, community activities, providing education and resource information relative to environmental and nuisance control; housing repair and property maintenance; animal control and wildlife issues.

Conducts field inspections, including visual observations of property conditions, violations related to vehicle and right of ways; investigates and documents various code and ordinance violations and complaintsAdvises property owners on methods of abatement; prepares and issues courtesy notices, notices of violations, and summons to property owners identifying the need to comply with Town code and ordinancesMaintains accurate and complete records of complaints, inspections, violations and citations; prepares periodic written reports detailing code enforcement activity and resultsWorks collaboratively with other Town Departments/Divisions ensuring code compliancePresents educational programs to internal and external groups on various community issues, including, but not limited to environment and nuisance control, zoning and property codes, animal licenses, animal control activities, and wildlife issuesResponds to animal control issues, such as animals at large, removal and disposal of dead animals, investigation of animal abuse and neglect, enforcement of licensing and welfareAssists with and promotes the Towns animal licensing programPerforms vehicle inspections for VIN verificationsAssists with community policing programs, special events and community activities, i.e.
Friends of Firestone program, Day of Service, Home Repair program and Santa Cops, etc.Assists with traffic control, accident investigation matters and other police functions when requested by a police officerPossesses the knowledge of names and locations of community streets, hospitals, public buildings, and commercial businessesMaintains assigned vehicle for cleanliness, both inside and outside, and makes sure the unit is properly serviced and maintainedSupports and provides backup for Police staff as assignedParticipates in ongoing training for personal and professional developmentMay be assigned to wor...
