Advanced Practice Provider - ER

THIS POSITION IS LOCATED AT PRAGUE REGIONAL MEMORIAL HOSPITAL POSITION SUMMARY To provide effective, efficient and appropriate services to ER/Clinic patients to serve the communitys healthcare needs.

Performs usual and customary duties of an Advanced Practice Provider (APP), i.e., taking patient history, performing physical exams, diagnosing, monitoring care, and counseling patients under the direct supervision of the designated physician POSITION SUMMARY EXPANDED: Under the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act, (The Unity Bill) this position is considered a Safety-sensitive position.

Safety-sensitive is defined to include any job that includes tasks or duties that could affect the safety and health of the employee performing the task or others.

Employees working in safety-sensitive roles are subject to this exception and subject to disciplinary action in the event of a positive test for marijuana or its metabolites.

QUALIFICATIONS Ability to project a Professional Image.

Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.

Working knowledge and ability to apply professional standards of practice in job situations.

Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Persons who have been found guilty by a court of law abusing, neglecting, or mistreating individuals in a health care related setting are ineligible for employment in this position.

Must be computer literate with ability to enter information in the EHR system and compile reports or data as requested.Must be able to read, write and speak English.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED Current licensure as a PA/NP to practice in the State of Oklahoma by the State Boards with appropriate provider supervision.

Participates in provider and medical care team meetings.

Establishes positive relationships with local medical community and attends local medical society functions.

Obtains relevant health and medical history for H & Ps and consults.
