The Welder is responsible for the fabrication, assembly, repair, and welding of trucks, heavy equipment, machinery, and related components.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


* Set up, prepare, cut, grind, and fit materials for welding according to specifications and measurements.


* Operate welding and fabrication equipment, including manual and semi-automatic welders, grinders, drills, saws, and cutting torches.


* Weld components in various positions, including horizontal, vertical, and overhead.


* Inspect completed welds and structures to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with specifications.


* Perform welding repairs and maintenance on trucks, equipment, and machinery.


* Follow all company safety policies and maintain safe work practices at all times.


* Maintain accurate records of labor, parts, materials, and work performed.


* Complete required reports, forms, and documentation related to job assignments.


* Communicate repair needs, safety concerns, and equipment issues to Shop Management.


* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.


* Properly operate, maintain, and care for company vehicles, tools, equipment, and property.


* Report to work on time and perform additional duties as assigned by management.


* Operate company vehicles in compliance with all applicable motor vehicle laws and company policies.

Qualifications


* Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.


* Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.


* Ability to perform welding repairs and maintenance safely and effectively.


* Ability to operate heavy equipment safely in shop and job site environments.


* Education, Skills, and Experience


* Basic Welding Certification required; minimum two (2) years of welding experience preferred.



* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, schematics, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.



* Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.


* Effective verbal and written communication skills.


* Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.
