Commercial Electrician – Drive Commercial & Industrial Power Projects with Coastal Electric of Florida

You will play a direct role in constructing and maintaining high-quality commercial and industrial electrical systems across the greater Jacksonville area.

How You Will Make an Impact:


* Install conduit, wiring, electrical equipment, fixtures, and control systems efficiently.


* Read and accurately interpret complex blueprints, one-line diagrams, and technical specifications.


* Execute all electrical installations in strict compliance with the National Electrical Code and safety standards.


* Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex commercial electrical systems and equipment.


* Plan daily work flows, estimate material needs, and complete tasks within designated timelines.


* Direct and mentor junior apprentices on-site to foster crew development and high workmanship standards.


* Coordinate seamlessly with jobsite foremen, superintendents, and secondary trades to keep projects on schedule.

Required Qualifications & Experience:


* Minimum 3 years of experience as a Commercial Electrician 


* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to jobsites across the greater Jacksonville area.


* Strong physical capability to handle materials, climb ladders, and execute demanding field installation tasks.


* Demonstrated ability to bend and install EMT and rigid conduit independently.


* Core proficiency in reading blueprints, one-line diagrams, and technical electrical specifications.


* Practical experience working with branch circuits, feeders, lighting controls, and distribution panels.


* Authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:


* 5 or more years of hands-on experience in commercial or industrial electrical construction.


* Journeyman certification or competency card where applicable.


* Deep understanding of commercial electrical control systems and NEC regulations.


* High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
