Salary: $93,600-$114,400 per year

Lead Infection Prevention & Resident Safety

Medical Hill Healthcare Center is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Infection Preventionist Nurse (LVN) to join our healthcare team.

This position plays a vital role in developing, implementing, and monitoring infection prevention and control practices throughout the facility while promoting a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities


* Develop, implement, and monitor the facility's infection prevention and control program.


* Conduct routine infection surveillance and identify trends or potential outbreaks.


* Monitor compliance with infection prevention policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.


* Investigate suspected or confirmed infections and coordinate appropriate follow-up.


* Maintain accurate infection control records, reports, and documentation.


* Provide infection prevention education and training to nursing staff and other facility employees.


* Monitor hand hygiene, PPE use, isolation precautions, and other infection control practices.


* Collaborate with nursing leadership, physicians, laboratory personnel, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.


* Assist with outbreak investigations and implementation of appropriate prevention and containment measures.


* Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives related to infection prevention.


* Stay current with applicable infection prevention guidelines, regulations, and best practices.


* Perform other duties as assigned by facility leadership.

Qualifications


* Current California LVN/LPN license in good standing.


* Previous experience in infection prevention, skilled nursing, post-acute care, or long-term care preferred.


* Strong knowledge of infection prevention and control principles.


* Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.


* Ability to analyze infection trends and develop appropriate interventions.


* Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.


* Ability to educate and work collaboratively with staff across multiple departments.
