Francis Healthcare Center is seeking a dependable and experienced Dietary Cook to join our team on a part-time basis.

The Dietary Cook will prepare nutritious, appetizing meals for our residents while following established menus, dietary requirements, food safety standards, and sanitation procedures.

Key Responsibilities


* Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus and standardized recipes.


* Follow residents' prescribed diets, food preferences, and special dietary requirements.


* Prepare meals in appropriate quantities and ensure food is served at the proper temperature.


* Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and freshness.


* Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.


* Properly store, label, and rotate food and supplies.


* Monitor food inventory and communicate supply needs to the Dietary Supervisor.


* Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and work area.


* Operate kitchen equipment safely and properly.


* Assist with meal service and other dietary duties as needed.


* Work collaboratively with dietary staff and other departments to provide excellent resident service.

Qualifications


* Previous cooking experience required; healthcare or skilled nursing experience preferred.


* Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and safe food-handling practices.


* Ability to follow menus, recipes, and special dietary instructions.


* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.


* Strong attention to detail and organization.


* Dependable, punctual, and professional.


* Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.


* Food Handler's certification as required by applicable regulations.
