TIG Welder - Day Shift
Your Job
Chentronics is seeking a TIG Welder to join our manufacturing team in Norwich, NY.
In this role, you will fabricate, assemble, and repair precision metal components while supporting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Successful candidates will work with TIG welding processes on stainless steel, Inconel, and other specialty alloys.
We welcome applicants ranging from those looking to further develop their welding skills to experienced welders seeking opportunities for growth and advancement.
Shift: Monday - Friday (flexible schedule with start times between 6:00am and 8:00am and corresponding end times between 2:30pm and 4:30pm; employees work a standard 8-hour day)
Overtime opportunities may be available based on production demand.

What You Will Do
* Perform TIG welding and fabrication activities to produce components that meet engineering and quality requirements
* Assemble, repair, and modify metal components according to specifications and work instructions
* Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and manufacturing documentation
* Utilize measuring tools and inspection equipment to verify dimensions and product quality
* Complete grinding, polishing, fitting, and finishing activities as required
* Set up and maintain welding equipment, tools, and fixtures to support efficient production operations
* Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to troubleshoot issues and improve manufacturing processes
* Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements
* Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality
* Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
* Support quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
* Welding experience, welding training, or demonstrated mechanical aptitude
* Ability to utilize hand tools and basic measuring equipment
* Ability to read and follow work instructions and manufacturing documentation
* Ability to safely perform welding and fabrication work in a manufacturing environment
