Director of Training
Air New England is looking for a full time Director of Training.
We are looking for someone who pays attention to detail, has a deep knowledge of the training regulations, and is easy to collaborate with.
The Director of Training will report to the Chief Pilot for the efficient and timely training of Air New England flight crewmembers.
Duties include, but may not be limited to: Under the supervision of the Chief Pilot will work to coordinate training activities and training programs to interface with both ground and flight training activities, and also collaborate with other operations team members as needed.
Monitoring the training program to comply with FARs and Operations Specifications.
Makes recommendations to the Chief Pilot to improve and/or amend the training program as necessary to ensure FAR compliance and maintain the highest safety standard.
Continually monitor the validity and assure the quality through adherence to the curriculum and lesson plans of the training process, as it relates to pilot competency at the completion of a training cycle.
Liaison with outsource training providers to include oversight of the simulators, ground school hardware and courseware.
Maintains the training records of all flight crewmembers, including PRD.
Provides notification to the Chief Pilot and operations as it pertains to the individual being assigned duties.
This position may include some flying (training flights, checkrides for example).
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Have previous experience in both ground & flight training activities utilizing multi-engine aircraft.
Demonstrate proficiency and ease in the classroom and the cockpit environment.
Have the ability to determine the performance level of a student.
Good written and oral communication skills Experienced, easy to get along with candidates are preferred.
