Position: Field Service Representative (FSR) - Solar Inverters

Location: Bangalore, India (PAN India Travel Required)
Department: Solar Services
Experience: 3 - 8 Years
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Electrical & Electronics Engineering

Position Summary

The Field Service Representative (FSR) is responsible for troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and technical support of central solar inverters installed at utility-scale solar power plants.

The role requires extensive travel across India and readiness for short-term international assignments of up to 90 days to support customer projects and service operations.

Key Responsibilities


* Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair central solar inverters and associated equipment.


* Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities.


* Support commissioning, recommissioning, and system upgrades.


* Analyse faults, alarms, and performance issues and provide effective solutions.


* Prepare service reports and maintain accurate documentation.


* Ensure timely response and resolution of customer service requests.


* Follow all safety procedures and company EHS requirements.


* Provide technical guidance and support to customers and internal teams.


* Collaborate with regional and global service teams when required.

Required Skills & Competencies


* Strong technical knowledge of central solar inverter technology and power electronics.


* Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.


* Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.


* Strong communication and customer service skills.


* Good spoken and written English.


* Team-oriented with a positive and collaborative attitude.


* Ability to work independently in remote field locations.


* Willingness to travel extensively across India and overseas.

Travel Requirements


* Up to 80% travel across PAN India.


* Must be willing to undertake international assignments of up to 90 days.


* Valid passport and ability to travel globally on short notice.

Preferred Experience


* Experience in utility-scale solar, renewable energy, power electronics, or inverter service industries.


* Hands-on experience with central solar inverters, SCADA, communication systems, and electrical equipment.
