THIS POSITION IS LOCATED AT PRAGUE REGIONAL MEMORIAL HOSPITAL POSITION SUMMARY Provides care to Emergency Department patients, Inpatient patients and Outpatient patients within a scope in conjunction with the Emergency Department on call attending physician.

Position Summary Expanded: Under the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act, (The Unity Bill) this position is considered a Safety-sensitive position.

Safety-sensitive is defined to include any job that includes tasks or duties that could affect the safety and health of the employee performing the task or others.

Employees working in safety-sensitive roles are subject to this exception and subject to disciplinary action in the event of a positive test for marijuana or its metabolites.

Job Functions Provides patient care for the hospital under supervision of the On-Call Emergency Room Physician.

The following presentations or complaints must be reviewed with or seen in conjunction with the on-call emergency department physician.

ANY Chest Pain or Abdominal Pain, fever of unknown origin, infants (0-3 months), Sick Kids, very ill adults, Metabolic Acidosis (of any kind), suspected Sepsis, burns, ribs fractures (especially multiple, or in the Elderly), trauma patients.

All initial contact with trauma patients must be done by the Emergency Department Physician especially those at high risk for deterioration as defined in the Trauma Alert and Activation Protocols.

Conducts patient evaluations that include a focused or extensive medical history and physical exam and uses this information to form a plan of testing and/or treatment and implement that/those plan(s).

Prescribes and administers vaccinations to immunize patient from communicable diseases.Promotes health by advising patents about diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease.Performs minor surgical procedures commensurate with surgical competency.Analyzes reports and finding of test and examination, and diagnoses condition of patient.Consults and refers patients to medical specialist for consultant services when necessary for patients well-beingFollows up with patient regarding progre...
