Key Responsibilities
* Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans.
* Provide skilled speech-language pathology services addressing speech, language, cognition, voice, and swallowing disorders.
* Perform clinical swallowing assessments and implement dysphagia management programs.
* Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, dietitians, rehabilitation professionals, residents, and families to achieve optimal outcomes.
* Complete accurate and timely documentation, including evaluations, daily treatment notes, progress reports, recertifications, and discharge summaries.
* Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and discharge planning meetings.
* Educate residents, caregivers, and staff on communication techniques, swallowing precautions, and home exercise programs.
