As the Senior Manager, Solutions Engineering, you will lead a team that connects Solution Design, Implementation, and Operations across GXO's OmniChannel Retail and Ecommerce divisions.

You will provide operational expertise throughout the customer lifecycle, from early-stage RFPs and solution assessments through implementation, site launch, go-live, and operational stabilization.

You will lead teams in evaluating facility designs, process flows, staffing requirements, automation strategies, and operational risks while driving continuous improvement, cost savings, and productivity initiatives across the network.

What you'll do on a typical day:


* Lead Solutions Engineering activities throughout the RFP, implementation, and operational lifecycle, providing Operations input on facility design, productivity rates, automation strategies, staffing requirements, and other key solution elements


* Provide subject-matter expertise on warehouse operations, labor requirements, WMS, automation capabilities, and operational constraints to ensure solutions are practical and executable


* Review proposed KPIs, SLAs, contractual requirements, solution assumptions, and cost models while identifying and escalating risks that could impact operational performance


* Partner with Implementations, Operations, HR, Analytics, and customers during joint planning and implementation to validate assumptions, develop volume and headcount ramp plans, and ensure the solution delivered matches the solution designed


* Lead Production Readiness Testing, develop solution-specific test cases, support User Acceptance Testing, and ensure KPI reporting is established prior to go-live


* Provide on-site support through site launch, go-live, and hypercare, helping Operations teams stabilize performance and transition to full operational ownership


* Identify and lead Continuous Improvement initiatives that deliver cost savings, productivity improvements, process optimization, and other business improvements across the network


* Develop business cases, conduct root-cause analysis, time studies, simulations, pilots, and process improvement activities, and present recommendations and validated results to leadership and Finance
