Assistant Commissioning Project Manager, PV - West Region

Job Description Summary:
The Assistant Commissioning Manager supports the planning, execution, and oversight of testing and commissioning activities for SOLV Energy's High-Voltage (HV), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and Photovoltaic (PV) projects.

In this role, you will work closely with the Commissioning Manager and technical subject-matter experts to ensure all systems and components are installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with project requirements, safety standards, and industry best practices.

The Assistant Commissioning Manager helps manage project-level commissioning teams and coordinates with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure a seamless transition from commissioning through project closeout.

This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality, reliable, and fully operable renewable energy assets.

This role is located full-time on a jobsite in CA and will require travel.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:


* Manage the project commissioning team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and effective execution of tasks.


* Report daily to the Commissioning Manager, the status of each project assigned.


* Review technical, contractual, and regulatory requirements related to commissioning and assist with the development of a project milestone and deliverables list, project specific commissioning plan, and commissioning procedures.


* Communicate with the OEM suppliers regarding equipment specific testing and commissioning activities.


* Coordinate with project teams, including engineering, construction, and quality assurance, to ensure alignment in all commissioning activities.


* Assist with the development of integrated P6 testing and commissioning schedules.

Ensure that the integrated testing and commissioning schedule is updated weekly


* Assist with the development of the commissioning resource plan for the project.


* Review initial energization procedures and assist Commissioning Engineer with switching activities as requested.

Perform subsequent switching activities of the MVAC collection circuits and Aux Power circuits as required during facility Hot Commissioning.

Develop switching plans and LOTO as required.


* Identify, analyze, and recommend corrective actions to resolve technical issues identified during commissioning or initial operation.
