Full Job Description
Working as part of a supportive engineering team within a market leading company, you will take ownership of the planned preventative maintenance, occasionally reactive on a range of Schneider electric switchgear and associated equipment, for one of our premium customers.
The role involves carrying out inspections, maintenance, testing and repair of low voltage and high voltage switchgear and associated electrical distribution equipment at a critical facilities environment.
The successful candidate will support the safe and reliable operation of the electrical infrastructure through planned preventative maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform planned preventative maintenance on LV/HV switchgear.
* Conduct inspections, testing and condition assessments of the electrical switchgear and associated equipment.
* Carry out fault finding, repair of electrical switchgear.
* Maintain accurate inspection reports timely for both the customer and company.
* Assist with the installation, commissioning and modification of electrical systems.
* Support shutdowns, outages and planned project activities.
* Ensure compliance with electrical regulations, company procedures and health and safety legislation.
* participate in risk assessments, method statements and permit to work processes.
* Liaise with the customer, other Schneider engineers and sub-contractors and become a valued point of contact at the critical facility.
Essential qualifications and experience
* Recognised electrical qualification such as NVQ Level 3, City and Guilds or equivalent in electrical maintenance.
* Basic experience working in industry or a commercial environment.
* Understanding of electrical safety procedures, LOTO and permit to work.
* Ability to use electrical test equipment and interpret results.
* Competent in maintaining maintenance records and completing work documentation.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
* Be very self-motivated be efficient at time management.

Working conditions
* Monday to Friday
* Site based role within a critical facility environment
* Occasional overtime may be required to support planned maintenance
