Job Overview

* Salary/Pay Rate: $80,000.00 – $95,000.00/year (based on experience).


* Location: Troutman, NC (Lake Norman area).


* Job/Employment Type: Full Time.


* Schedule: Monday – Friday.


* Project Scope: High-End Outdoor & Waterfront Construction.

The Opportunity You will serve as a technical anchor for preconstruction, transforming complex architectural visions into precise, actionable financial blueprints for elite waterfront structures.

This role offers the autonomy to drive the bidding process for a regional leader while receiving specialized mentorship in unique marine construction methodologies.

How You Will Make an Impact


* Formulate comprehensive cost estimates for high-end docks, decks, and shoreline structures to ensure project profitability.


* Execute precise quantity take-offs from detailed plans and specifications to minimize material waste.


* Analyze blueprints and technical drawings to define project scopes and identify potential structural hurdles.


* Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes to maintain competitive pricing and high-quality standards.


* Coordinate with project managers and field leadership to ensure seamless handoffs from bid to build.


* Identify strategic cost-saving opportunities and project risks during the initial preconstruction phase.


* Maintain meticulous documentation of pricing trends and historical data to refine future bidding accuracy.

Required Qualifications & Experience


* Proven experience in construction estimating or a closely related technical field.


* Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints and structural drawings.


* Advanced technical skills in Excel and standard construction estimating or project management software.


* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple bidding deadlines simultaneously with high attention to detail.


* Excellent communication skills necessary for negotiating with vendors and presenting to leadership.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience


* Background in civil, structural, or specialized outdoor construction environments.


* Previous experience navigating permitting processes for regulated construction sites.


* Familiarity with take-off software and advanced preconstruction workflows.
