Equipment Operator

Equipment Operator Summary The Equipment Operator is responsible for safely operating machinery, overhead cranes, hoists, and material handling equipment to support manufacturing operations, including sequencing and staging of parts as needed.

This role may also perform hands-on assembly tasks, including the use of hand and torque tools.

The Equipment Operator follows standard work instructions to ensure tasks are completed safely, accurately, and in alignment with quality and production standards.

This position is located in Waterloo, IA.

Sequence products per customer specifications (product sequencing refers tothe process of arranging products in a specific order)Use RF scanning equipment to verify sequencing information.

Operate hand tools, assembly equipment, and basic office/warehouse equipment.Sort products for quality checking and defect containment.Perform quality checks per company/customer specificationsEnsure products are labeled and free from defectsFollow all safety and operational guidelines associated with operating crane and hoist equipment and/or mobile equipmentAccurately complete all paperwork/documentation associated with the position.Perform housekeeping tasks such as sweeping or removing scrap, pallets, cardboard, etc.Perform all other related duties as assignedParticipate in all TVS SCS quality and excellence initiatives.

Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent Previous work experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environmentPrevious use of RF Scanning equipment and Warehouse Management System (WMS)Must be able to identify products through reading, interpreting, and scanning pallet informationAbility to understand instructions in EnglishKnowledge of safety practicesHands-on experience in a manufacturing environment involving tire and wheel operations is strongly preferred.
