HR Generalist

Fort Miller Group is expanding our HR team and seeking an HR Generalist to support a broad range of human resources functions, including recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, employee communications, HR compliance, and general employee support.
This position is ideal for someone with a strong HR foundation, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a desire to work closely with employees, managers, and business partners across a diverse group of companies.
The right candidate will be organized, approachable, eager to learn, and comfortable balancing day-to-day HR administration with longer-term people initiatives.

Your role as a Human Resources Generalist: Assist with recruiting activities, including job postings, resume reviews, interview scheduling, candidate communication, background checks, and pre-employment processes.
Participate in job fairs, recruiting events, and workforce outreach activities.
Support onboarding activities, including new hire paperwork, orientation preparation, HRIS entry, benefit enrollment support, and coordination with hiring managers.
Assist with benefits administration, including employee inquiries, enrollment changes, open enrollment support, invoice review, carrier or broker communications, and maintaining accurate records.
Serve as an approachable HR resource by answering routine employee and supervisor questions and escalating more complex matters as appropriate.
Support employee relations activities by gathering information, documenting discussions, coordinating follow-up, and assisting with workplace issue resolution.
Coordinate training and development activities, including scheduling, attendance tracking, record maintenance, and employee development programs.
Collaborate with HR team members and business partners to deliver consistent, timely, and professional HR support across the organization.
