About the Job:

As a Senior Database Engineer at Independent Bank, you will play a key role in shaping and supporting our enterprise data environment .

In this highly visible position, you will own the performance, availability, and security of our SQL Server and other enterprise-wide database platforms.

You'll not only maintain and enhance existing systems, but also architect and implement new databases, optimize performance, design and build robust data pipelines, and ensure data integrity and consistency across the organization.

What You Will Do:


* Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of SQL Server databases, Snowflake environment, and other database platforms across the enterprise.


* Manage and monitor database performance, tuning, and optimization to ensure high levels of availability and security.


* Implement data integration and ETL processes to support data warehousing and business intelligence initiatives.


* Design, implement, and maintain disaster recovery and high availability solutions.


* Collaborate with development and operations teams to design data models and schema structures.


* Establish and enforce database standards, procedures, and best practices.


* Plan and execute regular database backups and ensure effective restore procedures.


* Develop and maintain database security strategies, including user roles and permissions.


* Conduct database capacity planning and storage management.


* Support the data warehouse environment, ensuring data consistency, reliability, and performance.


* Write and troubleshoot complex queries, stored procedures, and scripts.
