Rossmoor Post Acute is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and compassionate Dietary Cook to join our team.

As a Dietary Cook, you will help prepare and serve high-quality meals that meet the nutritional and dietary needs of our residents while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities


* Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus, recipes, and prescribed diets.


* Follow therapeutic, modified, and special diet requirements as directed.


* Ensure meals are properly portioned, prepared, and served on schedule.


* Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and food preparation area.


* Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations.


* Follow proper food storage, labeling, and rotation procedures.


* Monitor and document food temperatures and production records.


* Assist with inventory, stocking, and receiving food deliveries.


* Work closely with the dietary team to ensure timely and efficient meal service.


* Follow all applicable federal, state, local, and facility food safety and sanitation regulations.

Qualifications


* Previous cooking experience in a healthcare, skilled nursing, hospital, restaurant, or commercial kitchen preferred.


* Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.


* Ability to prepare meals according to therapeutic and modified diets.


* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.


* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.


* Strong teamwork and communication skills.


* Food Handler Card preferred or ability to obtain as required.
