Job Code: TRS012/SS: Ground Transp Worker 3 Shift: Part-time (20 to 29 Hours per week on average) Job Hours: Times May Vary Base Location: Clayton/Gwinnett/Rockdale/Newton Counties Division/Department/Program: Administration / Transportation Full-time Part-time X PRN Exempt Nonexempt X The Patient Transportation Driver provides safe, reliable, and respectful transportation for individuals receiving services through the Community Services Board (CSB) and behavioral health programs.

The driver transports clients to and from residential programs, outpatient appointments, day programs, medical appointments, treatment facilities, community activities, and other authorized destinations.

The driver is expected to maintain a safe and professional environment while demonstrating patience, compassion, confidentiality, and respect for individuals who may have behavioral health, developmental, or other support needs.

Duties & Responsibilities: Safely transport clients to and from CSB programs, treatment facilities, medical appointments, residential locations, and community activities.

Operate agency vehicles in accordance with all applicable traffic laws and CSB policies.

Assist clients with entering and exiting vehicles when appropriate and within established safety procedures.

Maintain a professional, calm, and respectful manner when interacting with clients.

Follow approved transportation schedules and routes.

Conduct required vehicle safety inspections before and after trips.

Maintain vehicles in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.

Report vehicle maintenance issues, accidents, incidents, or safety concerns promptly.

Complete required transportation logs, mileage reports, trip documentation, and incident reports.

Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information in accordance with agency policies and applicable privacy laws.

Follow procedures for transporting individuals who may experience behavioral or emotional difficulties.

Communicate appropriately with program staff regarding transportation-related concerns.

Assist with emergency procedures according to agency policy and training.

Secure mobility devices, personal belongings, and other items as required.

May assist staff with client-related activities when not actively transporting clients.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma/GED and four (4) years of experience in transportation and valid driver's license with clean motor vehicle report; or two (2) years of experience at the lover level Ground Transp Worker 2 (TRS011) or position equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with individuals with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities.

Completion of a professional transport training program.

Proficiency with wheelchair lifts, ramps, and securement hardware.

Requirements/Competencies: Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
