Engineer II: TMC Mechanical Retrofit

What will you do?


* Design mechanical interfaces for turbine controls systems.


* Develop mechanical engineering drawings, bill of materials, and technical specifications.


* Work with project management for kickoff meetings, establishing and fulfilling deadlines, and project execution.


* Integrate mechanical systems with appropriate tools and equipment.


* Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting activities.


* Investigate equipment failures and provide root cause analysis.

Travel: Travel up to 25% to support project execution and customer needs.

What are the key skills we are looking for?


* Knowledge of steam turbines, gas turbines, and operating principles.


* Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic control systems, including tubing, hoses, fittings, and valves.


* Ability to interpret P&IDs, hydraulic schematics, and control system documentation.


* Knowledge of instrumentation such as LVDTs, speed probes, proximity probes, pressure transmitters


* Able to work in a cross-functional team.


* Able to learn concepts outside of the mechanical team, including but not limited to Turbine and Compressor controls

What qualifications will make you successful:


* Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)


* 3+ years of prior engineering experience


* Working knowledge of API 612, API 670, and related industry standards


* Proficiency in Solidworks


* Ability to communicate highly complex concepts, verbally and written.


* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.


* Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

For this U.S.

based position, the expected pay range is USD 86,400 - USD 129,600 per year.

This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States.

Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level.

Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
