Health Advocate (Union) Location: 2151 N McCord, Toledo, OH 43615 Schedule: Monday - Thursday Weekly Hours: 34 hours per week Employment Type:Year-Round Full-Time Pay Rate: $23.47 - $29.81 per hour, based on education and experience Position Overview: Coordinate health services for enrolled children and families by ensuring required screenings, exams, referrals, and follow-up care are completed.

Partner with families, healthcare providers, and program staff to promote children's health, support school readiness, and ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and agency requirements.

Prefer an associate degree in health-related field or LPN licensure in the state of Ohio.

Experience: At least one year of experience providing health services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Implement the written Early Childhood Development and Health Services plan which includes ensuring all enrolled children receive immunizations, physical and dental exams, and follow-up treatment for assigned centersCoordinate and track the flow of health services information among staff, parents, and health professionals.Ensure all enrolled children receive immunizations, physical and dental exams, and follow-up treatment for assigned center through parent, provider contacts, or staff.Provide direct health services to children including screenings for weighing, measuring, puretone, impedance, vision, hemoglobin, lead, and blood pressure.

Follow-up on health referrals within each programs time frame.Ensure a written follow-up plan and arrange re-screening, further diagnostic testing, examination and treatment for each child found to have medical or dental problems.Assist with trainings to ...
