Agronomy Laborer

Job Summary: Agronomy Laborers are employed in the agricultural sector and are primarily responsible for growing, maintaining, and harvesting crops.

Agronomy Laborers often work under the guidance of farmers or agricultural managers and must follow instructions to ensure crop health and productivity.

Key Responsibilities: Agronomy Laborers perform a wide range of tasks, including using machinery to assist with agronomy operations, move product, assist with tasks at the location and on site.

Responsibilities may include: Transporting fertilizers and pesticidesOperating and maintaining farm machineryLoading and unloading product Sorting and packing productsRepairing and maintaining equipmentMonitoring crop growth and reporting issuesCleaning and organizing tools and storage areas Qualifications: Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent Prior experience in agriculture or farming Prior experience with farming equipment, machinery, crop types, and planting techniques preferred Skills Basic mechanical skills for equipment maintenance Basic mathematical skillsGood physical fitness and staminaAbility to work long hours, including weekendsWillingness to work in various weather conditionsAbility to perform physically demanding tasksBasic understanding of agricultural practicesGood communication skillsAttention to detailAbility to follow instructions and work independentlyReliable transportation to and from the work siteProblem-solving skills to troubleshoot issuesTime management to complete tasks efficiently and withing the farming seasons timeframeAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong commitment to tasks and projects Other Duties: The Agronomy Laborer will uphold cooperative policies, perform other duties as assigned by management, and will enforce and uphold the cooperatives credit policy.
