Quality Control Technician

Job Summary

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for sampling and testing aggregates, ready-mix concrete, and concrete masonry products to ensure compliance with industry and project specifications.

This position also supports production operations and requires a willingness to learn concrete batching, equipment operation, and quality control processes.

Key Responsibilities


* Perform sampling and testing of aggregates, concrete, and masonry products.


* Follow company safety policies and OSHA regulations.


* Document and communicate test results accurately and timely.


* Evaluate results and assist in resolving quality concerns.


* Coordinate with plant personnel, management, contractors, and inspectors.


* Support ready-mix operations and production activities as needed.


* Learn and operate loaders, forklifts, and other equipment.


* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.


* Wear and maintain required PPE.


* Work flexible schedules, including overtime and occasional night work.

Qualifications


* High school diploma or equivalent preferred.


* Previous concrete, aggregate, construction materials, or quality control experience preferred.


* Valid driver's license required.


* Ability to obtain required industry certifications.


* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.


* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


* Ability to operate a ¾-ton pickup truck with a 20-foot trailer preferred.

Physical Requirements


* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.


* Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and industrial environments.


* Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
