What You'll Do As a skills worker at Fernbrook, you'll work directly with children, adults, and families, offering skill-building support that meets people where they are--emotionally and literally.
You'll help guide clients on their mental health journey through compassionate care, teamwork, and creative problem-solving.
Your core responsibilities will include: Work directly in daycare classrooms to support young children navigating emotional or behavioral challenges, fostering a nurturing, responsive environment where they can thrive Provide individual and family-based services outside of the classroom setting when needed Build strong, collaborative relationships with Jeremiah Program staff to ensure coordinated, trauma-informed care aligned with classroom goals and family needs Providing individual, family, and group skills services Collaborating with other providers and Fernbrook staff Staying current with required continuing education Apply a variety of evidence-informed, trauma-sensitive strategies to meet client needs in a respectful and professional manner Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services Meet expected productivity standards while ensuring quality of care Participate in regular supervision and ongoing professional development Uphold and model Fernbrook's mission, values, and policies Perform other duties as assigned to support program and client success This is a role for a natural connector--someone who thrives in collaborative environments and is driven to support families using holistic, compassionate, and culturally responsive approaches.
