Quality Control/RMA Supervisor

Supervise and coordinate daily QC/RMA department activities, staffing, schedules, assignments, and workload priorities to meet production and quality goals.

Lead, train, coach, evaluate, and develop QC/RMA personnel, including competency verification, safety procedures, quality standards, and equipment operation.

Recommend or execute personnel actions, including hiring, performance evaluations, promotions, and other employee-related actions.

Enforce safety, sanitation, quality, and company policies and procedures.

Oversee incoming, in-process, and finished-product inspections to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, job orders, and quality standards.

Inspect materials, products, and equipment to identify defects, malfunctions, and process nonconformities.

Monitor production processes, operators, gauges, equipment, and other indicators to ensure compliance with established production and quality standards.

Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, quality-control requirements, and company procedures for employees.

Identify, document, contain, and resolve product and process nonconformities.

Support root-cause investigations, ICAR/CAPA activities, and corrective-action follow-up.

Prepare and manage supplier nonconformance reports and monitor supplier corrective actions and quality improvement activities.

Monitor production and quality data, KPIs, charts, work orders, schedules, and reports to identify trends, evaluate performance, and determine production requirements.

Prepare management reports and maintain accurate QC/RMA records, production data, quality reports, SOPs, and other department documentation.

Oversee RMA intake, evaluation, failure analysis, warranty determination, and product disposition.

Coordinate RMA repair, refurbishment, testing, replacement, return-to-stock, and scrap activities.

Monitor RMA aging, turnaround time, failure trends, warranty issues, and department performance.

Coordinate with Customer Service, Shipping, Accounting, Inventory, Procurement, Production, Engineering, and other departments to resolve quality, RMA, production, and customer issues.

Coordinate operations and activities with other supervisors and departments to support production and quality objectives.

Oversee QC inspection and test equipment, including equipment setup, adjustment, calibration status, maintenance, and availability.

Requisition materials, supplies, equipment parts, and repair services as needed to support department operations.

Maintain department timesheets, attendance records, purchasing requests, and other administrative records.

Identify and implement opportunities to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, efficiency, and overall department performance.

Identify opportunities to reduce defects, scrap, rework, warranty costs, and repeat failures.

Calculate labor and equipment requirements and production specifications using established standards and formulas.
