Diesel Mechanic Technician Support
Responsible for performing a variety of duties, including installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on fleet and facility equipment in accordance with Company safety policies, applicable regulations, and established maintenance procedures

Reports to: Transportation Logistics Supervisor
Essential Functions
* Support diesel mechanics in daily activities.
* Move lumber waste truck within the A-1 facility or to a vendor facility.
* Pick up and transport A-1 vehicles to repair shop.
* Drive the company pick-up truck for company requirements.
* Complete purchases and pickups from local suppliers within applicable limitations.
* Work as a team member with operations and other technicians to support the facility in the repair and maintenance of equipment.
* Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to understand workload and record actions (e.g., workorders, asset/labor history, inventory usage)
* Communicate verbally and/or in writing with customers, suppliers, and associates.
* Operate material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment, as trained and authorized.
* Perform or assist with preventive maintenance and repairs on trucks, trailers, golfcarts, and company vehicles (e.g., pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, electronic and electrical equipment, etc.) according to procedures.
* Other job-related duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, non-exempt position, and typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
Occasional night and weekend work may be required.
Required Education and Experience
* High School Diploma or GED
* Fleet maintenance or lube technician experience required
* Valid Class A CDL required
Work Environment / Physical Demands
* Must be able to lift and carry 20-25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Travel
* No travel is required for this position.
