Supply Chain intern (student)

What will you do? - Take the Lead with These Responsibilities


* Ensure timely end-to-end upstream material flow - coordinating with global transportation on material transits, tracking the plant status of blocked materials, and aligning with internal stakeholders to keep component flow on schedule.


* Track and help resolve material-blocking issues (invoice discrepancies, MRBR/blocked invoices, in-transit delays) in coordination with Import/Export, Procurement, and Quality.


* Build and maintain planning dashboards/reports (inventory, OTD, blocked invoices, critical component capacity) to support daily decision-making.


* Assist with MRP/SAP master data checks (lead times, safety stock, lot sizes, MOQ) and flag inconsistencies.


* Participate in continuous-improvement initiatives tied to supply chain KPIs (OTD, inventory levels, planning accuracy).

What skills and capabilities will make you successful?


* Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables); Power BI/Power Query or basic Python is a plus.


* Analytical mindset - comfortable working with data from multiple systems (SAP, Kinaxis, Tableau) and reconciling discrepancies.


* Clear communicator in Spanish and English (cross-site/supplier coordination).


* Organized, detail-oriented, comfortable following up across multiple teams (Finance, Warehouse, Production, Logistics).


* Currently enrolled in an Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related degree program.

Who will you report to?


* Reports to the Upstream Planning Leader (single point of contact), working within a small, cross-functional planning team that interfaces daily with Procurement, Warehouse/Recibos, Import-Export, Finance, and Production.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?


* Actively pursuing a degree in Industrial/Logistics/Supply Chain Engineering (or equivalent), able to commit to internship/estadía hours.


* Basic proficiency in Excel required; SAP or ERP exposure and English fluency are strong pluses.


* No prior professional experience required, this role is designed to build practical supply chain planning skills from the ground up.
