Location: On-Site Reports To: Site Lead / Area Manager Direct Reports: None Employment Type: PRN Travel: None Schedule: PRN Weekends, SAT/SUN shifts 6a/7a-4p/5p Job Overview The On-Site Health and Wellness Specialist is responsible for managing and implementing wellness initiatives, providing injury prevention services, and supporting employee health and safety.

This role includes conducting wellness screenings, offering first-aid services, performing ergonomic assessments, and developing site-specific wellness programs.

The specialist will participate in safety meetings, promote preventive care, and collaborate closely with clients and internal leadership.

This position reports to the Site Lead or Area Manager.

Key Responsibilities 1.

Wellness Screening & Assessment Perform wellness screenings, including blood pressure and blood glucose testing.Conduct orthopedic injury assessments and musculoskeletal evaluations.

Injury Treatment & Case Management Provide first-aid treatment for musculoskeletal complaints (ice/heat, stretches, massage, taping, non-rigid bracing).Educate employees on injury prevention, health protocols, and wellness strategies.Utilize Telehealth services when appropriate, ensuring thorough documentation and follow-up.

Ergonomics & Injury Prevention Conduct ergonomic job risk analyses (task analysis, posture analysis, risk factor identification).Develop and implement ergonomic interventions to reduce injury risk and improve workplace safety.Collaborate with employees to design practical and empowering ergonomic solutions.

4.

Program Development & Implementation Create and implement wellness programs such as tabling events, lunch-and-learns, and employee challenges.Lead quarterly wellness challenges (fitness, nutrition, mental health, etc.).Implement programs designed by the Health and Wellness Team.

5.

Communication & Reporting Maintain regular communication with safety personnel regarding wellness activities and injury prevention.Prepare monthly and annual reports on program utilization, cost-savings, injury trends, and return-to-work outcomes.Write articles for newsletters and other communication platforms to highlight wellness initiatives.

6.

Case Management & Employee Advocacy Provide case management for non-occupational injuries and serve as a patient advocate.Build and maintain relationships with external healthcare providers to support continuity of care.Manage on-site case resolution for all concerns falling under ATSs scope of care.

7.

Mental Health Support Provide mental health first aid and intervene appropriately in wellness-related mental health situations.

8.

Safety & Compliance Attend safety meetings, safety stand-downs, and PTP meetings as requested by the client.Complete required administrative tasks (forms, reports, inventory) in a timely manner.
