The Legacy at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team.

The COTA will work under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help residents improve daily living skills, independence, and overall quality of life.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated rehabilitation professional who is passionate about resident-centered care and teamwork.

Responsibilities


* Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans


* Provide therapeutic interventions to help residents improve functional independence and daily living skills


* Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist


* Accurately document treatments and resident responses in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements


* Assist residents with activities related to mobility, self-care, coordination, strength, and adaptive techniques


* Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support positive resident outcomes


* Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment


* Educate residents and families regarding therapy programs and treatment goals as directed


* Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility policies and procedures

Qualifications


* Active Florida Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license in good standing


* Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, or healthcare setting preferred


* Strong communication and interpersonal skills


* Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team


* Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused


* Strong organizational and documentation abilities
