Program Description: 

 

The Sophomore Career Exploration Internship gives undergraduate sophomores the opportunity to gain valuable work experience at a unique institution.

Through dynamic, project-based work assignments and professional development activities, students get:

* An experienced professional mentor to support them throughout the program 



* Access to learning events with senior leaders from the New York Fed, giving them direct insight into the public service and financial services world 

 

Sophomore interns work in one specific business area or function for ten weeks, and have access to opportunities for collaboration with other students and employees from around the Bank.  

 

At the end of the program, students leave with strong skills, professional connections, and meaningful experiences that will support them in their long-term careers.

System IT collaboratively imagines, plans, delivers, runs, and measures business technology solutions to foster the stability, integrity, and efficiency of our nation’s monetary, financial, and payments system.

Our technology teams are positioned to effectively serve the Fed’s mission and businesses as an enterprise IT team. We are organized to serve the local business and take advantage of scale, enabling us to benefit from shared capabilities, standardized processes, and broader technical capacity and expertise. 

 

How You’ll Make an Impact as a Technology Intern (Sophomore) 


* Candidates will be responsible for technology work in any of our IT areas, including but not limited to information security, data management, software development, business operations, or end user services.  



* Responsibilities may include coding software, testing code, preparing and managing data, and/or running competitive analyses and research for our technology teams. ...
