Job Title: Entry Level Gas & Propane Technician

Job Overview:

WilliamSmith Fireplaces of SC LLC is seeking a Gas Service Technician to join our team.

We specialize in providing top-quality fireplace and chimney services for both residential and commercial clients.

This position requires expertise in chimney sweeping, inspection, and maintenance, with a strong focus on safety, customer service, and craftsmanship.

While CSIA certification is a plus, it is not required-we are willing to provide training and support the right candidate in obtaining industry certifications.

Key Responsibilities:



* Install, inspect, maintain, and repair gas, propane, fireplace, and chimney systems.


* Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to propane lines, gas appliances, venting systems, and fireplaces.


* Perform chimney cleaning, fireplace servicing, and safety inspections in compliance with company and industry standards.


* Ensure all installations and repairs meet local codes, safety regulations, and manufacturer specifications.


* Educate customers on proper system usage, maintenance, and safety practices.


* Complete service documentation, inspection reports, and work orders accurately and on time.


* Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in clean and safe working condition.


* Work safely in confined spaces, on rooftops, ladders, and in varying weather conditions.


* Collaborate with team members and management to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction.


* Identify potential safety hazards and recommend corrective actions or system upgrades when needed.

Qualifications:



* Experience in a commercial construction-related role


* Sales experience within the commercial construction industry


* Candidates with backgrounds in construction, propane companies, gas services, or low-voltage electrical work possess transferable skills that align well with the this role, we encourage those candidates to apply.
