Technical Utility Manager

Our Deloitte Strategy & Transactions team helps guide clients through their most critical moments and transformational initiatives.

From strategy to execution, this team delivers integrated, end-to-end support and advisory services covering valuation modeling, cost optimization, restructuring, government operations modernization, business design and transformation, infrastructure and real estate, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and sustainability.

Work alongside clients every step of the way, helping them navigate new challenges, avoid financial pitfalls, and provide practical solutions at every stage of their journey-before, during, and after any major transformational projects or transactions.

Work You'll Do

We are seeking an experienced Manager to join our team.

The Technical Utility SME will be responsible for providing a range of expertise as it relates to grid systems, grid components, and grid controls as well as provide technical subject matter knowledge related to energy storage systems as follows:

• Applies subject expertise in evaluating business operations, processes, and technical issues

• Consults across business operations, providing mentorship, and contributing specialized knowledge

• Recommends technical solutions and identifies areas where technical solutions would improve business performance

• Provides subject expertise and guidance to senior leadership

• Reviews and ensures accurate representation of expertise prior to the distribution of technical reports

Qualifications

Required:



* Bachelor's degree in geology, chemical engineering, industrial engineering, geology, earth sciences, or other relevant engineering/science field; Master's degree preferred.


* 5+ years of experience with electric power generation


* 5+ years of power grid experience


* Must be located in Washington, DC and able to work part-time onsite.


* Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future


* Ability to travel up to 25% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
