Field technical specialist - SCADA
Mission
Ensure the successful technical execution of projects and the professional implementation of solutions.
The Field technical specialist acts as the primary technical point of contact on-site, coordinating all field activities and ensuring that project objectives, customer requirements, technical standards, and safety regulations are achieved.
This role requires a strong field presence, frequent travel, and close collaboration with customers, project teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
What will you do?
* Support the tendering and proposal preparation process, including technical assessments and site surveys.
* Develop and review technical solutions, specifications, and project documentation to ensure compliance with customer requirements and applicable standards.
* Supervise and coordinate installation, commissioning, testing, and start-up activities at customer sites.
* Manage on-site activities by working closely with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
* Provide hands-on technical support during commissioning and troubleshooting activities, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
* Monitor project execution in the field, ensuring adherence to schedule, quality, safety, and performance targets.
* Act as the primary technical interface with customers during site execution, translating customer needs into practical actions and solutions.
* Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure alignment between on-site activities and overall project objectives.
* Report project progress, identify risks and mitigation actions, and support effective project communication.
* Monitor site-related costs and support budget control activities throughout project execution.
* Travel frequently across national locations to support project implementation and customer operations.
What qualifications will make you successful?
* Technical High School Diploma (Electrical, Electronics, Automation, or equivalent) combined with relevant professional experience
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related technical field.
* Proven experience in electrical systems, power distribution, industrial installations, or related engineering environments.
* Experience managing on-site activities, commissioning, start-up, or field engineering projects.
* Strong technical understanding of electrical systems, engineering documentation, and industry standards.
* Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders in a dynamic site environment.
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
* Strong communication and customer-facing abilities.
* Basic knowledge of Project Management principles and methodologies.
* Fluent in English; additional languages are considered a plus.
