Position Summary
The Manager, Human Factors Engineering leads a team of Human Factors Engineers responsible for ensuring that products are safe, effective, and usable throughout the product lifecycle.
This role provides strategic, technical, and organizational leadership for Human Factors Engineering activities, partnering across functions to translate user needs and insights into product requirements, design decisions, and evidence that supports product quality, regulatory success, and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Outcomes
You are accountable for your team's delivery across all phases of product development.
Through effective planning, prioritization, and collaboration, you ensure critical risks are identified and addressed, evidence is generated to support key decisions, and program commitments are delivered on time and with high quality.
Shape Strategy
You define and execute the roadmap for your area, balancing near-term program needs with long-term capability building.
In partnership with Regulatory Affairs and R&D leadership, you help shape evidence and submission strategies, align resources to priorities, and drive decisions that support product approval, adoption, and business success.
Grow People
