Automatic Door Service Technician

Automatic Door Service Technician - $30-$45/hr - Springfield, MA

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Automatic Door Service Technician to support our customers throughout an assigned territory.

This mobile, field-service position requires regular travel to customer sites to diagnose issues, perform repairs, and complete preventive maintenance on automatic door systems.

Throughout your service territory, you will work closely with customers to provide reliable solutions and exceptional service, building strong relationships through technical expertise, professionalism, and a commitment to quality.

The successful candidate will take pride in delivering outstanding customer experiences while ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• A minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.

• Minimum 2 years' experience in the automatic door industry required

• Mechanical and electrical skills required

• Troubleshooting skills required

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate basic math and read a tape measure

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Valid driver's license and AAADM certification on ANSI 156.10 and 156.19 standards.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 150 pounds.

A team lift is required for anything 50 pounds or more.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Must be capable of working at heights to service doors and operators using ladders
