Position Summary
Is responsible for developing, creating, implementing and updating programs, policies and procedures to maximize fleet efficiency.
Responsible for awareness, communication, and tracking of maintenance programs.
Collects and analyses vehicle utilization data to develop appropriate communication and training plans in coordination with Store Ops to eliminate inefficiencies.
Determines size of fleet required in coordination with departments that require them, manages fleet cost and expense.
Negotiates and maintains relationship with third party vehicle, maintenance, and other fleet services providers.
Position Responsibilities:
• Lead, coach and develop resources and all involved in the fleet utilization process to provide Wow customer service while maximizing efficiency and creating, implementing and observing best business practices.
• Manage third party fleet management vendors and relationships such as manufacturers, gas card providers, vehicle services administrators, and others as applicable.
• Manage the vehicle life cycle from purchase to disposal to maximize the return of investment.
Create and maintain statistical repair and maintenance data for analysis in decision making.
Communicate as appropriate.
• Create and support fleet tactics and objectives through appropriate interaction with the LP, Safety, Commercial, Supply Chain, Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, and Store Operations and others as required.
• Develop, lead, and support fleet management practices for continuous improvement, focusing on the efficiency of our current processes and procedures such as invoice processing, reporting, and communicating as necessary.
• Proactively optimize fleet needs to drive customer satisfaction and meet commitments.
Position Requirements:
• Level of Formal Education: A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.
• Area of Study: Logistics, Engineering, Business, Automotive Technology
• Years of Experience: Three to five years.
• Type of Experience: Proven successful management
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in engineering,
* Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
* 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in Fleet Management, Transportation, Logistics, Asset Management, or related areas.
* Experience managing fleets exceeding 2,000 vehicles.
* Experience managing multimillion-dollar operating and capital budgets.
* Proven success leading high-performing teams.
* Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and organizational development.
* Advanced analytical and financial acumen.
