Division/Department/Program: Business Services View Point Health is a community behavioral health center utilizing a team of psychiatrists, nurses, licensed counselors and social workers, as well as other professionals to provide services to individuals who need treatment and support to cope with mental illness, substance abuse, and intellectual and developmental disabilities.

View Point Health serves uninsured, underinsured, low-income Medicaid, Medicare, war veterans and some private insurance across multiple locations with a full continuum of behavioral health services and support.

The Accounting Manager plays a critical role in maintaining the financial health of an organization by ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and effective management of accounting operations.

This position requires a combination of technical accounting expertise, leadership skills, analytical ability, and strong communication to guide financial strategy and support business decisions Duties & Responsibilities: Supervise and mentor accounting staff.Perform month-end duties and in-depth analysis of revenue/ expenditures, create journal entries and reportsDevelop, implement, and monitor budgets; prepare financial forecasts; analyze variances; and provide insights to support strategic decision-makingAttention to detail for accurate reporting, identifying discrepancies, and resolving operational inefficienciesManage multiple accounts, deadlines, and projects efficiently while maintaining high accuracyAnalyze financial data, identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to senior managementEstablish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and best practices to improve efficiency and accuracyCommunicate promptly with internal and external vendors.Assist and lead audit preparationOther department related duties assigned by leadership.

Supervisor Responsibilities: Oversees Accounting operations, which include financial accounting and accounts payable.Recruits and hires accounting staff and conducts performance evaluations.Implements training for new hires and identifies training opportunities for current staff.Oversees the system of internal controls over accounting functions to minimize risk.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and three (3) years of professional accounting job-related experience, which includes one (1) year in a supervisory role; or two (2) years of experience at the lower-level Accountant Supervisor (FIP024) or position equivalent.
