Slotting Associate, Afternoon shift
Position Summary: The Slotting Associate helps keep inventory organized and positioned in the right warehouse locations to support efficient operations.
This role moves products within the warehouse based on business needs, product demand, and available space.
The Slotting Associate works closely with warehouse teams to ensure inventory locations are accurate, products are easy to access, and warehouse space is used effectively.
Responsibilities: Move products to assigned warehouse locations based on operational needs and inventory priorities.
Follow inventory movement plans and slotting instructions provided by leadership.
Reorganize inventory to improve picking efficiency, product flow, and space utilization.
Use warehouse systems, scanners, tablets, and other tools to locate and move inventory.
Ensure inventory is placed in the correct location and system records are updated accurately.
Operate approved warehouse equipment, including electric pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
Help maintain organized warehouse locations and storage areas.
Identify and report inventory location issues, product placement concerns, or discrepancies to leadership.
Support inventory relocation projects and warehouse layout changes as needed.
Work with Inventory Control, Receiving, Replenishment, and Operations teams to support daily warehouse activities.
Follow all food safety, warehouse safety, and company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Perform additional inventory control, quality assurance, and operational duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Previous warehouse, inventory, logistics, or material handling experience preferred.
Experience operating electric pallet jacks and warehouse equipment preferred.
Basic computer and inventory system proficiency.
Ability to read, interpret, and follow inventory movement instructions and warehouse documentation.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout warehouse operational areas for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull products and materials within company-established guidelines, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to perform inventory counts, product inspections, and audits using handheld scanners and warehouse technology.
Ability to work in refrigerated, freezer, wet, or varying warehouse temperature environments.
Ability to safely operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as trained.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with workplace safety requirements.
