Heavy Haul Specialist – Transporting Civil Construction Assets for Cowboys Big Iron Services

Job Overview:


* Company: Cowboys Big Iron Services, LLC.


* Salary/Pay Rate: $26 to $30 per hour (Based on experience) plus Year-End Bonus.


* Location: Edgewood, NM (Onsite).


* Job/Employment Type: Full Time.


* Schedule: Monday – Friday, Weekends, and Overtime.


* Project Scope: Commercial, Industrial, and Government Civil/Utility Projects.


* Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: Valid CDL Class A.

The Opportunity:

You will serve as a vital link in our field operations, ensuring the heavy machinery that builds our infrastructure arrives safely and on time.

You will have the chance to master complex equipment transport while supporting large-scale industrial and federal projects.

How You Will Make an Impact:


* Execute safe transport and delivery of heavy equipment using lowboys and tandem dump trucks to various project sites.


* Operate diverse machinery during the loading and unloading process to ensure all assets are secured and handled with precision.


* Navigate efficient routes across New Mexico to maintain strict project timelines while adhering to all DOT regulations.


* Inspect vehicles daily through pre-trip and post-trip protocols to guarantee the safety and functionality of your rig.


* Document driving hours, delivery logs, and route details accurately to maintain high standards of project transparency.


* Coordinate with field leadership and on-site crews to synchronize equipment arrivals with active construction phases.

Required Qualifications & Experience:


* Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record and FMCSA Clearinghouse registration.


* Minimum of 3 years of commercial driving experience, specifically with manual transmission vehicles.


* Proven ability to load, unload, and operate heavy construction equipment confidently.


* Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and overtime as required by project demands.


* Physical capability to lift heavy loads and perform tasks associated with securing freight and equipment.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:


* Demonstrated experience in heavy-haul transport specifically within the civil construction or utility sectors.


* Advanced knowledge of freight handling procedures and specialized equipment tie-down safety regulations.


* Strong communication skills to effectively interface with government and industrial project representatives.
