ABOUT THE ROLE

This position supports our facility by maintaining and repairing equipment, both in a shop and in the field.

This equipment can consist of conveyor belts, rotating mechanical equipment, bearings, pumps, motors, piping, steel equipment, crushers, vibrating screens, dust collector, and any other equipment associated with a heavy industrial facility.

Candidates need to be able to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment.

Strong mechanical aptitude, welding, fabrication, machining, pipefitting, and some electrical experience is required.

Additional experience with man-lifts, forklifts, skid steer and lifting equipment is preferred.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH


* Assembles and installs equipment such as conveyors, feed bins, chute liners, screen media, reducers & gearboxes, bearing replacement.


* Perform motor and gearbox alignment and installation.


* Constructs structures for equipment


* Perform repair and maintenance involving disassembly, overhaul, assembly, and adjustments of crushing components.


* Maintain, dismantle, repair, and replace mechanical and hydraulic components (e.

g.

bearings, seals, details, carriers, etc.) on industrial machinery such as shafting, motors, generators, air compressors, engines, pumps, cylinders, gears, couplings, linkages, coolant systems and filters.


* Maintain proper tool/parts inventory for specified jobs.


* Capable of rigging heavy, large complex parts


* Use various hand or power tools for measuring, cutting, welding, threading, grooving, bending, soldering, assembling, joining, and installing pipes, valves, and fitting.


* Complete maintenance projects in a timely manner to ensure production goals.


* Maintain up to date written or data input spreadsheets on all equipment repairs.


* Ensure that all equipment repairs are performed accurately to the manufacturer's standards.


* Ensures compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, and with company policies and procedures.


* Plan sequences of operations for fabricating tools or assemblies using blueprints, sketches, or models


* Always follow MSHA safety regulations.


* Maintains good housekeeping practices in all work areas.


* Coordinate installation and work efforts with management and assign work according to prepared schedules.
