Material Handler

Job Responsibilities & Duties Handle all the shipping and receiving of all materials at the Wellsville, KS plant.Keep in the warehouse clean and functional on a daily basis.Perform work operations of shipping, receiving and storage of products and materials in the most efficient and safe manner possible.Move products in/out of the warehouse with powered industrial trucks in a safe and efficient manner.Load/unload trucks of finished goods and raw materials.Handle general warehouse work and cleaning duties.Shuttle trailers from docks to the yardOccasionally lead other employees performing shipping tasksMaintain safe working environment and report any concerns to Assistant Plant Manager.Inspect all materials and documents for inbound and outbound shipments prior to loading or unloading.Ensure all paperwork is completed with truck drivers.Communicate arrival of all incoming shipments and returns to Warehouse Specialist.Conduct re-palletizing for less than truck load (LTL) and partial pallet orders.Enforce Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards and complete disposition on quality hold items.Report any deviations in lots or product quantities to Assistant Plant Manager.Repair/correct damaged inventory to prepare it for shipment; restack and stretch-wrap as needed.

Requirements High School DiplomaMaintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to all relevant policies and proceduresSkilled with safely operating lift trucks in warehouse and rail dock environments with various attachments.Strong attention to detail and able to keep accurate recordsAble to effectively communicate with othersAble to perform basic math calculations
