Georgia-Pacific is now hiring for Stud Mill Relief Aid Operator at the Taylorsville, MS Stud Mill facility!

Salary:

Our starting pay is $22.61/hr.

Shift:


* Monday - Friday 5am - 4:30pm


* This role may require weekends, holidays and overtime when needed

Our Team

Our team creates value by safely assisting with the production of quality lumber for our valued customers.

What You Will Do


* Operate CNS and Planer machines, ensuring production and quality standards are met


* Opportunity to learn how to run production equipment (call off, vacation, etc.)


* Applying problem solving methods to identify root causes and eliminate failures


* Performing minor repairs to ensure machine reliability and escalating machine maintenance needs appropriately


* Perform preventative maintenance, operator basic care and general machine troubleshooting

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


* Ability to safely operate CNS and Planer machinery or willingness to learn


* Basic mechanical knowledge for greasing, lubricating, and inspecting equipment


* Commitment to maintain a clean and organized work environment

What Will Put You Ahead


* Previous experience operating CNS or Planer machines in a manufacturing or lumber environment


* Familiarity with quality standards for lumber finish, alignment and sizing


* Experience performing machine maintenance
