Sitework Designer 2

Position Overview BLOC Resources is seeking an experienced Sitework Designer 2 to support transmission and substation projects for our client, Southern Company.

Based out of the Energy Center in Birmingham, Alabama, this position is responsible for producing civil site and grading design drawings supporting transmission projects throughout Alabama and Mississippi.

The Sitework Designer will work closely with engineers, designers, technicians, construction teams, vendors, and other project stakeholders to develop safe, accurate, constructible, and cost-effective civil designs for electrical substations.

The position requires strong hands-on experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, grading and drainage design, erosion control, stormwater management, survey data, and civil site development.

This role combines office, remote, and field work and requires the ability to independently manage multiple design assignments while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, schedule, and operational excellence.
