Position Overview
The Director of FP&A for the South Central Division reports directly to the Vice President of Finance and serves as a strategic business partner to leadership across the consolidated Business Units.
This role leads the end-to-end FP&A organization - budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and analytics - in close alignment with the AMAT Center, AMAT FP&A, Centers of Excellence, and Shared Services.
The successful candidate is a commercially minded finance leader who converts financial insight into business action: influencing revenue, margin, cost, and capital allocation decisions; driving disciplined, consistent FP&A process execution; and building a high-performing team.
This position is a key member of the Division finance leadership team and a critical partner in enabling transformation, growth, and long-term profitability for the Division.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
Performance Management
* Reports to the Division VP of Finance and serves as a strategic business partner to Division leadership overseeing the consolidated Business Units within the Division.
Act as an advisor on financial, commercial, and strategic decisions, providing independent perspectives and insights to inform and influence business direction at the division level.
* Drive Financial Planning (budgets, forecasts, analytics) to meet and report on KPIs and SLAs for the Division by ensuring consistent, effective process execution.
Promptly address discrepancies through thorough review of activities and reports to maintain operational excellence.
* Influence commercial and operational decisions by providing data-driven insights to improve revenue, margins, and cost structures.
Translate financial insights into actionable business strategies that enable long-term growth and profitability.
* Provide strategic insights on capital allocation and investments aligned to growth priorities.
Lead support for strategic planning and guide long-term investment decisions to drive sustainable business growth.
* Develop managerial reporting, analytics, and related presentations for the Division and Americas Materials leadership teams, ensuring accurate, timely, and decision-ready information.
* Oversee the resolution of complex or escalated FP&A-related inquiries, ensuring timely and effective solutions while maintaining operational continuity and high stakeholder satisfaction.
