Surveys, checks and optimizes product concepts regarding all aspects of their serviceability, maintainability and reliability, for s apecific group of products or systems.

As an Ultrasound Serviceability Engineer:


* You will be responsible for the Service Engineering of Ultrasound products.

This includes managing service projects and developing Product Service Concept and Plans.


* Work hands-on with Ultrasound systems and hardware evaluating serviceability, troubleshooting issues, validating service requirements, and supporting product development activities.


* Provide input to Engineering on new products early in the new product introduction cycle to improve serviceability and diagnostic functions.


* Define serviceability and value-added service requirements and support their implementation within the Project team.


* Evaluate the product service lifecycle, test and validate service requirements and functions, create technical documentation, and provide technical training when required.


* Expected to become the Service expert for your products and perform Service Engineering processes.


* Collaborate with the entire Customer Service team and cross-functional members which include Product and Sustaining Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Project and Product management, and business partners.

* Technical knowledge of Ultrasound technologies and capabilities.


* Identify and assess risks and develop suitable strategies for risk mitigation.


* The analytical ability to effectively troubleshoot and solve complex problems.


* Work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including Engineering.


* Have excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.


* Lead service projects and provide guidance within a team.

Required skills to have for the success of this role


* Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience in medical devices and customer service


* Minimum 2-5 years' experience in medical devices and/or customer services relevant roles.


* Ultrasound System service and repair experience is preferred.


* Excellent PC and Microsoft Office skills.

Experience with AI, Cloud based computing, and Powershell a plus.


* Willing to travel up to 10%.
