As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the On Premise and Next Generation Infrastructure team, you will be a seasoned member of a small, high-paced agile team spanning global locations.

You will play a pivotal role in delivering a first-class private cloud offering, focusing on enabling multiple hypervisor platforms and striving for a consistent end user experience across both on premise and public cloud environments.

Job responsibilities


* Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting for HyperV cluster lifecycle automation.


* Automate provisioning, configuration, patching, compliance enforcement , and decommissioning using PowerShell and Platform APIs.


* Drives team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes (e.g., AI-assisted code review/refactoring, test strategy acceleration, incident/root-cause analysis support), while establishing.

consistent validation standards (secure coding, peer review, automated testing) and promoting reuse of effective patterns across the team.


* Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation.


* Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.


* Lead production-grade deployments, own technical solutions, diagnose issues using structure troubleshooting methods.


* Work with large-scale infrastructure projects.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills


* Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience.


* Demonstrate strong hands-on experience in system design, application development, data modeling, and testing.


* Show proficiency in server-side programming (Go, Java, PowerShell or Python) and building scalable applications in virtualized Windows environments


* Possess advanced knowledge in at least one database technology.


* Practical cloud-native experience and familiarity with deploying production-ready software.


* Understand resource allocation (CPU, memory, networking) for VMs and clusters, with hands-on experience in Microsoft HyperV.
