Construction Consultant Septagon Construction | Columbia, Missouri Septagon Construction is seeking an experienced, motivatedConstruction Consultantto join our Columbia team.

This position will focus on business development, sales, and building strong customer relationships throughout Columbia and the surrounding market.

The ideal candidate will have a background in construction along with the ability to develop relationships, identify new opportunities, and work with prospective customers to understand their construction needs.

This role will also collaborate with Septagon's estimating, project management, and field teams to help turn opportunities into successful projects.

What You'll Do As a Construction Consultant, you'll be focused on growing Septagon's presence in the Columbia market by developing new business opportunities and building relationships with business owners, community leaders, prospective customers, referral sources, and past Septagon clients.

You'll identify and qualify potential construction opportunities, follow leads through the sales process, and meet with customers to learn about their businesses, upcoming needs, project goals, budgets, and timelines.

You'll represent Septagon in the local business community through networking, business organizations, community involvement, and industry events while maintaining consistent follow-up with prospects and existing customers.

As opportunities develop, you'll work closely with our estimating and operations teams to help develop project concepts, preliminary budgets, proposals, and presentations.

You'll remain connected with customers as projects move forward, helping provide continuity from the initial relationship through project delivery and beyond.

What We're Looking For We're looking for someone withexperience in construction sales, business development, estimating, or a combination of related construction experience.

A working knowledge of commercial construction is important, but just as important is the ability to connect with people, build trust, recognize opportunities, and develop long-term customer relationships.

The successful candidate will be a strong communicator who is comfortable meeting with customers, networking in the community, and representing Septagon professionally.

You should be self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple relationships and opportunities while maintaining strong follow-through.

Business acumen, an understanding of project costs and budgets, and the ability to work collaboratively with estimating, project management, and field operations will also be important to success in this role.
